Step 1: Choose Your Initial Monitor Profile.

The first window of the step-by-step setup will prompt you to confirm the monitor profile:

This is only a starting point. The calibration you're doing with Adobe Gamma will further characterize the profile to match your monitor's particular characteristics. If the monitor profile shown is not the one you wish to use, click Load for a list of other available profiles:

These profiles are located at System Folder: ColorSync Profiles (Mac OS), or Windows\System\Color (Windows), or WINNT\System 32\Color (Windows NT).

After selecting a color profile, give the profile a unique name in the Description field before clicking the Next button. This profile name will also be used in step 8.

Important: Make sure you assign the color profile a unique name before proceeding to the next step. Otherwise, the monitor profile name will be listed twice in ICC Aware applications.
